The Planning and Zoning Commission is comprised of seven Southlake citizens who act as an advisory board to City Council in regards to land use and zoning related matters. Members are appointed by the City Council for two year terms. Our role in the community is to ensure high quality development that adheres to the city’s Southlake 2030 comprehensive plan, as well as meets guidelines and regulations in city ordinances and laws of the State of Texas. This includes residential and commercial properties, public facilities, open spaces, as well as overall land use within the city.
