The Community Enhancement and Development Corporation (CEDC) is governed by a board of seven Southlake residents who have been appointed by the City Council for staggered, two-year terms.
The CEDC Board works jointly with the City Council to ensure that funds raised through the 3/8 cent Type A sales tax are spent on the construction and operation of The Marq Southlake facility as well as pursuing the recommendations of the Economic Development and Tourism Master Plan in accordance with state law.
